Riverside Drive Baptist Church

Thank you for visiting our web site. We are a local, independent, fundamental and Bible-believing church. Our purpose is to fulfill our Lord's Great Commission of making disciples. To achieve this, we evangelize a lost and dying world here in Lewiston-Auburn, the State of Maine, and throughout the world as well as teach believers how to live a life which pleases and glorifies the Lord.

Our desire is to minister to each person that God sovereignly brings into our church. Furthermore, we believe that God has ordained the family, and that a spiritually healthy family is foundational to society and the church. Because of this belief, we minister to the family. We encourage all members to be actively involved in ministry to one another.

The Bible is the final authority for mankind. For the Christian, the Bible is the standard by which the Christian glorifies God, thus giving credibility to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God's saving grace. We believe that the inspired Word of God "is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works [II Timothy 3:16-17]."
