Welcome to Riverside Drive Baptist Church of Auburn, Maine!

Verse of the Day. . .
Loading BibleGateway.com’s verse of the day…

We are a local, independent, fundamental Baptist Church.  Since our establishment in 1957, our purpose has been singular and constant–endeavoring to please the Lord in our attitudes, words and actions.  In order to attain our goal, we commit ourselvesIMG_0446 to teaching and preaching the infallible, authoritative and sufficient Word of God which has the answers for every matter pertaining to life.  The Word of God is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [in order] that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works [II Timothy 3:16-17].”

Fellowship is an important part of our church.  Both young and older believers are encouraged to fellowship together.  It is through this interaction that younger believers learn wisdom for living as truth is passed down to them by older believers.  Through fellowship, younger believers minsiter to older ones.  The local body of beleivers is a dynamic organism.

Worship is another part of our church.  We join together to bring our sacrifice of praise to God.  We believe that proper worship of God requires unity of purpose, desire, and attitude.  We believe that we must be holy in our behavior, and that our worship must conform to God’s demands as given in the Bible.  Everyone in attendance can worship God.  Worship is to be robust and joyful.

The church and the family are integral to one another.  Without the church, the family will struggle.  Without the family, the church will struggle.  We desire to equip families with the truths of God’s Word so that they are strong and able to serve the Lord.  We neither undermine nor replace the God given responsibilities of parents.  We seek to assist the family in pleasing the Lord.
